Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Cocoa is happy again!

Cocoa is a sweet dog who needs a permanent home. She is a lovely liver and white female, spayed and current on all vaccinations. She is 21 -23" tall and a little thin at about 27 lb. Cocoa was taken in when found stray in Powell, TN and is believed to have been dumped because she is gunshy. Cocoa is estimated to be about 6-years-old, but don't let her age fool you--she is at her prime and full of energy. In fact, that is why her owner can no longer keep her. Cocoa's current owner took her in from another family member who failed to find her a home and the arrangement was not to be permanent. Cocoa needs a home that can handle the high-energy demands of a pointer. Her owner states she is good with kids, cats and other dogs. Cocoa is crate trained and has adapted well to an underground ("invisible") fence. Cocoa does have some bad habits (jumping on people, digging, chewing and barking). She is fearful of loud noises and is on Clomicalm for anxiety. All her bad habits are of the type that can be worked through with obedience training and an active lifestyle.

It is clear that Cocoa needs a home where she can use up that energy and have a warm couch to snuggle on. If you think this sweet girl would be perfect for your home, contact Leslie
