Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Willow has a new home

Willow is a 9-month-old orange and white female, currently living at the Orphans of the Storm shelter in Kittanning, PA. Willow was formerly owned by a family who moved out of their house in PA, and just left Willow behind. They had chained her behind a shed and left her there for two weeks before neighbors down the road realized what had happened. Willow was almost dead when the neighbors found her. The neighbor family wanted to keep Willow, but the man had lost his job and they couldn't afford to take on the extra expense of a new dog, so they brought her to Orphans of the Storm, where she is on the road to recovery.

Willow is current on her vaccinations and has received some leash training. She has had some limited exposure to children and a small dog and did well with both. She is described as very friendly and lovable. Willow continues to put on weight and is making a good recovery.

Willow needs a home where she can experience the love she deserves, but has never known. She needs a person or family that can give her plenty of attention and care so she can grow into the dog she was meant to be.

If you think you have a place in your heart and home for Willow, contact Orphans of the Storm at (724) 548-4520, or email Bethann for more information.
