Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

One Happy Dog, who found his Forever Home

Jake is a liver and white male, about 1 - 2-years-old. He is currently living in a PRO foster home in Jacksonville, FL. Jake was found as a stray in southern Georgia and was lucky to enter foster care before being put to sleep. He had wandered into a hunting camp, laid down with the other dogs and hung around the camp for the weekend. The hunter took him to the shelter rather than leaving him in the woods.

Jake's foster home knew there was a great home waiting for him somewhere! Jake is current on his shots, heartworm negative and in good health. He is already neutered, housebroken and crate trained! According to the foster home, Jake gets along well with other dogs and well-behaved with children. He is untested with cats.

Jake's foster home describes him as very quiet and well-behaved in the house. He enjoys being outdoors, but has adapted well to house living, too. Jake will chew and needs supervision around things that can tear, like towels and other things made of fabric.

If you think Jake was meant for your home, fill out an adoption application on this website under "How to Adopt a Rescued Dog," or email the Adoption Coordinator, Carrie Sablone at carrie.sablone@pointerrescue.org for more information.
