Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Grace and Beauty is in a new home

Grace is a four-year-old liver and white female currently being fostered in Byron, GA. Grace was rescued from a shelter in Alabama by an animal rescue organization who recognized her potential and turned her over to Pointer Rescue. Not much is known of her past as she was picked up as a stray. She has had a lot of health obstacles to overcome including heartworm treatment and bronchitis, but she is recovering nicely and regaining her weight and vigor. She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots.

In spite of her rough start in life, Grace is gentle, friendly, curious, loves attention, freely gives kisses, and her tail is forever wagging. She has done well in the house and is content following her foster parents around, playing with the other dogs or lounging on the couch. So far she has not been destructive. She has not been a barker when left alone in the backyard, and has taken to crate training very well. She is learning some basic obedience and is learning to shake. Grace also does very well riding in the car and taking treats. She has gotten along with the other dogs and cat in her foster home. She has shown an interest in birds and points homing pigeons, but seems to be skittish over loud noises or very loud harsh voices. At this point, we do not believe she would do well hunting with a hunting family.

Grace has much to offer a family in companionship and love. If you are interested in adopting Grace, or just learning more about her, fill out a PRO Adoption Form and the Adoption Coordiator will contact you shortly.
