Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Ready, willing and in a new home now.

Drummer is a 4-year-old liver and white male. He is currently with the Animal Welfare Society, Inc. in New Milford, CT. Drummer was picked up by animal control and brought to the shelter. He remained unclaimed by any owner and is now available for adoption.

Drummer gets along well with dogs and other animals, including cats (he will sometimes chase them, but not hurt them). He has also done well with adults and children. Drummer loves the water, but he is a digger. The shelter thinks a home with a good fenced yard an active family and someone to take him swimming would be perfect for Drummer! He also shows pointing instinct. Drummer is in good health, heartworm negative and on preventative, current on his parvo, distemper and rabies vaccinations and has already been neutered!

The shelter will screen potential adopters and does require an interview at the shelter in New Milford. However, if the potential adopter is coming from a long way off, they will try to speed up the adoption process.

If you are interested in learning more about Drummer and how he might make the transition to your home, contact the shelter at 860-354-1350. Their office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Or email the shelter at animalwelfare.socty@snet.net .
