Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Gabby's Has A Happy Ending

Gabby is a liver and white female, approximately one-year-old. She is currently in a foster home in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Gabby's story is a very sad one. Her foster home found her starving to death by the side of the road. Gabby could hardly stand and was very underweight. She had made a bed for herself next to a dead Rottweiler, with no food and her only source of water being the rice field where she had been dumped. The foster home normally does Doberman Rescue, but there was no question, they couldn't leave Gabby alone out in that field to die.

It was miraculous that Gabby was found alive, and thankfully, she has been recovering from her ordeal and is now ready to be a placed in her forever home. She has already been spayed and she is in good health. Gabby is current on her vaccinations and heartworm negative. She is approximately 57 lb now, up for the 40 lb she weighed when found.

Gabby is good with other animals, including other dogs and cats. She gets along well with humans, although she is a little shy with men in the beginning. Gabby does show some pointing instinct, although she may be gunshy. Gabby is already housebroken and crate trained! Her foster home describes her as an all-around good dog who is happy all the time and who's tail never stops wagging.
