Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Doc Now Has Someone to Love

Doc is a liver and white male, approximately 2-years-old. He is currently in an animal shelter in Birdsboro, PA. Doc was found wandering his neighborhood and brought to the shelter. When the owner was contacted, she was told that she would have to pay for a license and a $15 fee, she decided she didn't want him anymore and abandoned him.

The shelter staff can't imagine why this lady would abandon this wonderful dog. They describe him as very sweet, affectionate and well behaved. The staff has tried to give him special attention because he is so scarred in the shelter environment. And who could blame him? Abandoned in a strange place full of fearful sights, sounds and smells, wondering when his human is coming for him; it's no wonder this dog is so afraid. Doc is current on his vaccinations and in good health. He is about 60 lb. and about 22" at the shoulder. The shelter states that he is good with adults, kids and other dogs.
