Saved from the Pound, and Newly Homed
Benny is a 3-year-old liver and white male, currently in a foster home in Platte City, Missouri. Benny was rescued from the Leavenworth Animal Shelter by someone who felt his potential was so great, he needed to be saved before he was put to sleep.
Benny was treated for heartworms after testing positive, although he never showed any symptoms. He is in good health now and ready for his forever home! Benny is current on his vaccinations, now heartworm negative and on preventative. He is already neutered, crate trained and housebroken. Benny is good with children, other dogs and other animals, including cats.
According to his foster home, Benny is a perfect boy, gentle, sweet, playful, affectionate and well-behaved. He loves his chew toys and providing him with plenty of them keeps him from chewing human possessions (he likes to chew pillows and plastic; he has not attacked any furniture). He would be a great dog with kids, whom he adores and loves to play with. Benny loves to play fetch and will play for hours. He also loves puppies and likes cats a great deal. He is active, but settles down in the house with plenty of exercise. He also appears to have been trained and has good manners and does not jump on people or furniture. He loves all people he meets and greets them with a wagging tail and smiling face.
