Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Darby is Lonely

Darby is a black and white male, approximately 2-years-old. He is currently in a PRO foster home in MI. He weighs about 45 lb. and is about 22" tall. He is neutered, and up-to-date on shots. Darby has tested "weak" positive for heartworms, and is currently being treated with preventative.

Darby is a very sweet dog who loves to be loved on. He's NOT a spaz in his kennel, but he does love to race in circles in the yard! He's birdy, and loves to be outside. He has not shown any interest in jumping the foster's four foot chain link fence. He's not been housetrained, but his foster home is working on that now.

Darby is not an aggressive dog, but he is a dominant dog. Mostly he'd prefer to be around dogs who don't want to jump all over him. He does need a home with NO cats, and someone who is going to supervise him if he's around the other dogs, and integrate him into the family slowly.

This little guy doesn't jump on people, he is just so happy if you even talk to him, and he will curl up in his crate and not make a peep for ever. Darby is very gentle when he plays. He loves to play with toys and especially enjoys fetch.

If you would like to know more about Darby, fill out a PRO Adoption Application and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you shortly.
