Tucker may not be immortal like the characters in the book "Tuck Everlasting" but he's managed to keep his faith in mankind and hope for a better tomorrow alive. Poor Tucker came in to the Bowling Green, KY shelter as a skeletal dog afraid of his own shadow. He's apparently been badly abused and is afraid of loud noises and just about anything you can carry in your hand. Fortunately, his spirit hasn't been broken and Tucker is now approaching us with tail wagging for gentle pats and kind words. If only humans could embody such forgiveness! He's a wonderfully sweet boy, loves children, stuffed toys, and romping around the yard with other dogs. He looks and acts like a young dog - I'm guessing just over 1 yr. old. He has a great deal of puppy silliness and loves to bark and play bow to his dog friends to get a game of chase or tug o'war started. Tucker is gaining weight very well now but is still too thin to be neutered (shouldn't be much longer though). He's up-to-date on all his shots and HW neg. He's also crate trained, appears to be housebroken, doesn't jump fences or dig out. If you give Tucker his forever home, he'll be your forever friend!
