Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Lookin' for my special gal!
(or guy now that Iíve made some male friends)

Dusty is very sweet, loves to play with other dogs and has mastered, "No", "Sit" and "Down". He is still very much a puppy (about a year old) and will chew shoes as well as play toys if unsupervised. He is crate trained and does not bark or whine in his crate. He is funny and loving, and timid or frightened by men, but with gentle encouragement he warms up to both women and men. He loves kids, cats, horses, cattle and other dogs. He can climb chain link fences, and generally stays in the neighborhood, but he would benefit from wood privacy, or underground fence. He will also benefit from a bonding and learning opportunity through organized obedience classes. He really likes to please, but can get tunnel vision when he is seeking affection. Sometimes heís not sure what to do with his paws and he reaches out as if he wants to hug his person. He is neutered and up to date with all his shots. He does not run with the normal speed and intensity of a Pointer, but he can get going when he plays tag with his Pointer foster brothers. He is good on a lead. He does not seem to have much instinct for birds. He is a special boy and deserves a forever home full of love and trust.

If you think Dusty is the dog for you, please fill out a PRO Adoption Application and someone will be in touch with you soon!
