Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Katie is a 2 year old spayed female Pointer. She is a gorgeous white and liver girl. Katie came to German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue almost a year ago. She was afraid of everything and had never been taught anything. Katie spent the first nine months of her life exclusively in a crate. Her owners surrendered her to a high kill animal shelter because she was too afraid of shotgun fire to hunt! She was an AKC registered dog, but her papers did not come to rescue with her. Katie is wonderful with children, but not very good with cats. She is submissive with other dogs, but loves the camaraderie and gets along well with them. Katie has spent time in another foster home in order to expose her to a lot of different environments. She is great on and off leash and is very attentive to her humans. She is still a little skittish around loud noises but not enough so that it is a problem. Katie does not bark, dig, climb or chew, and is housebroken. She loves to play, but is a couch potato at heart! Ms. Katie would make a WONDERFUL companion! She is up to date on all shots, is heartworm negative and is on Heartgard Plus monthly. If you are interested in adopting Katie, please contact Clare, with GSP Rescue of SW Colorado, at depdogwing@yahoo.com
