Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Hi, my name is Lilly and I am a lemon and white Pointer! I was dropped off at the Humane Society in Indiana after my owner died. I was there for a really long time but finally, someone came to get me. Next thing I knew, I was in Nashville, TN!!

To be honest, I wasn't very excited because I didn't feel very good. Turns out, I had something called heartworms and I was so skinny. My foster mom immediately took me to the vet and soon, I was cleaned-up, spayed and treatment had been started to get rid of the heartworms. Since I came to Nashville on Easter weekend, my foster mom named me Lilly. Now that I have gotten healthy and gained weight, my true personality has come out. I can now live up to my name because I am truly a beautiful Lilly. I have even learned how to sit, potty outside and walk on a leash.

I am 5 years old but everyone tells me that I act more like I'm 3. I have lots of energy and love to run and play. My foster mom keeps me in a kennel when she can't be home and I am a very good girl. When I'm in the house, I wait to go outside to potty. You do have to watch me though...I just love chewing on shoes and clothes but if I have toys and bones, I can manage to resist the temptation (but you might still have to keep one eye on me!). There is a cat where I live now and I just ignore him but other dogs can sometimes worry me. I like to be "in-charge" so I think that I would be best in a home with no other pets where I can be treated like the Princess that I am. I am very protective of my Foster mom and of our home...it’s my job. I think my dream home would be somewhere that I can run and play in a safely fenced yard but have a cushy couch in the house for nap times. I really like to point and stalk birds and the sounds outside really interest me but I don't want to be someone's hunting dog...the comforts of the house are where my future is!

I love my foster mom but I would really like a home of my own and someone to love me. Can you take me home with you? Yeah? Then please fill out a PRO Adoption Application.
