Tillie is a 3 year-old female English Pointer. She came into an animal shelter with a dislocated hip. It had been out too long to be replace, so in March of 2003 she had an FHO (femoral head removal) and is now doing fine. She has been spayed, microchipped, has had all of her vaccinations, and is currently on heartworm preventative. Tillie was probably a kennel dog and can be quite shy in new and noisy environments. But she has an extra sweet disposition and loves people, other dogs (especially puppies) and cats. She will play fetch and loves tummy rubs. She thinks sleeping on the bed is great. She knows sit and down and walks on a leash well, but sometimes gets startled by noises like lawnmowers and loud trucks. She is practicing walking in the city and visiting a local dog training club to help her with her shyness. She would do well in a very stable home environment without a lot of noise and clamor.
If you think Tillie is right for you, fill out a PRO adoption application and one of our adoption coordiantors will contact you.
