Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Belle

My name is Belle and this is my story............I was born a little girl in Knoxville, TN. On the Eve of New Years, I was rescued from a kill shelter in Tennessee Valley when I was 10wks.old by a very nice lady who drove a semi truck all over the United States. I thought "WOW" this is going to fun, I'm going to be a Trucker Pup. Well as it turned out I was confined to a crate and I wasn't getting enough exercise while we were on the road, I couldn't run or hunt, I was bummed. When I was 6mo. old my adopted mom could see that I was not a happy pup with her kind of lifestyle so she called the nice people at PRO and they found me a foster family who drove from St.Clair Shores, MI to Ohio to pick me up at a truck stop. I was very excited but a little scared because I didn't know where I was going, but I felt loved. I fell asleep on my foster mom's lap until we arrived at home. I remember how happy I was to see a big back yard to run around in and I saw BIRDS! Lots of BIRDS!

Now, I'm 8 months old and pretty cute (my mom say's) I have a Lemon and White coat with some ticking, fully vetted, neutered, shots and microchip. I'm totally house trained and I like being in a crate (if you can believe that one). At bed time your bed is mine but I will make room for you if you insist. I get along with all kinds of dogs except the ones that look like a foot long hot dog with short legs. Cats are nice but only the ones without nails. I'm pretty talented too, I can vacate a room in a matter of seconds with my humans running out holding their noses. "What is that all about"? My human mom also calls me Ms. Belle, but only when I'm in trouble for something I didn't do. My favorite game is pulling the clothes off the clothes line (such fun), my favorite TV program is "American Idol" I like howling along with William Hung. I'm still learning to walk with a leash but it's more fun pulling my humans down the street.

So as you can see I have many attributes and very little faults. I'm very friendly and playful with everyone I meet. I'm good around children but I am working on the jumping part. I love to give lot's of licks (doggie kisses) in exchange for a belly rub. If you throw me a ball I will fetch it and bring it back to you. My skills are endless so if you adopt me I'll teach you all kinds of tricks that I know and I promise to be on my best behavior.
