Troy is about 1 year old. He is very healthy, but underweight from being in a shelter. He is a very fun loving and sweet boy. Outgoing, loves everyone, not shy. He is fully vetted, neutered, shots, and microchipped (Home Again). Troy loves to be with his human. He is well behaved when he is with his human, but should be crated/contained when not supervised. He's still very puppish and gets into mischief if left alone. He is great with other dogs...a little food possessive, but who could blame him...he needs to gain about 7 pounds. He is also just fine with cats....curious, but not aggressive. He needs a yard to exercise in, preferrably with at least a 5 foot fence. Like all pointers he is athletic and could go over fencing if motivated. I like 6 foot privacy fencing the best for these atheletes.
After a little romp in the yard with his doggy friends, Troy loves to be inside curled up on the couch or bed with his human. He is an indoor dog and he needs to be with his family. He is also a bit of a clown...he loves to toss fleece toys in the air and then try to catch them. He is a love, will climb right up into your lap and love on you.
The ideal home for Troy would be one where someone is home most of the day (yes ideal for all dogs), has a yard with a 6 foot privacy fence, and who will make Troy a true member of the family with him indoors snuggling and loving. He is house trained, and has used a crate. He really doesn't like the crate, but does tolerate it....he would much rather be with you in your soft snuggly bed!
