Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Hi! My name is Morgan and I am a 4 year-old spayed female current with all my shots. My humans adopted me when I was 11 weeks old, before they had children. They had lots of time to take me for walks and runs, which was good because I have a lot of energy. I enjoyed being queen of the house (and the couch). But now my humans have two daughters, ages 3 years and 2 months, and my exercise time has disappeared. I’d love to play with the girls, but I don’t always realize just how intimidating I am to small kids when I ask to play. A fenced yard was built for me, but it’s too small for me. I am housebroken, but I do “excitement piddles” when I meet some one new – I’m just so excited to play!! I understand the basic obedience commands, but I don’t always follow them well. With a little more effort on my human’s part, I know I could shine. I just love to be around people. I’d do best as the only pet (I love to bark at cats) and in a home with no or older kids (ones who could run and play with me). My humans are sad to have to put me up for adoption, but they want me to have a better life. Sadly, my humans took me to the Meriden Humane Society. If you are interested in hearing more about me, please call Marlena with Meriden Humane Society at 860-238-3650.
