Please Help Bo
Bo is a beautiful pointer that is about a year old. He is neutered, heartworm negative, on preventative and up to date on all shots. He seems to know some commands and has possibly been hunting at some time.
Now for the problem. He has been at our shelter (The Greater Huntsville Humane Society in Huntsville, AL) for a while and is starting to break down on us. He came to us with kennel cough, so he had to be isolated, but has been treated and seems much better on that part. He isn't adjusting to being at the shelter though. When I go to his room to visit him, he doesn't even stand up anymore, no tail waggle and very sad eyes. I hate seeing this happen to him. At this point he is still eating. His picture is listed at our site at www.huntsvillehumanesociety.petfinder.com. He is a very good looking dog. As you know, pointers need much more human contact than he is getting, and although we try, there is not enough time to spend with him. Can you help?
