Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

What You Talkin' 'Bout, Willis??

A new family to love me forever!!!! I've been through some pretty bad treatment and was in pretty bad health when I was in the shelter in SC that picked me up as a stray. I was HW+ and nearly starved, scared to death of anyone and anything that approached me. Fortunately, the wonderful people at the shelter saw something special in me and went to great lengths to get me into rescue and out of the shelter environment that terrified me so badly. Because of their caring and hardwork, I'm in a rescue in GA today, have been treated successfully for heartworms, gained LOTS of weight, and I've finally discovered that there are people out there I can trust! In fact, some might say I've made a complete transformation from skinny, scared little caterpillar to totally buff social butterfly!

I'm about 3 yrs. old, neutered, current on my shots, and a happy, healthy boy that loves to cuddle, play with kids and other dogs, and I'm always the first to greet any visitor (so I'm not so great as a watchdog!) I'm not a fence climber, digger, or barker; I'm very quiet and reserved in the house and know to use the outdoor facilities. All in all, I'm a pretty mellow guy and ready to find that special someone to spend the rest of my life with!

If you're looking for a special buddy too, contact Kate Kiley at Field of Dreams Gun Dog Rescue, Inc. at kate@gundogrescue.org or (770) 785-7002/(770) 355-2783 or check out our website at www.gundogrescue.org. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
