Meet sweet, sweet Holly!
Holly is a spayed female English Pointer. Our vet estimates her age to be three to five years old and has had at least one litter of pups. We have been fostering Holly in our home since November 11, 2004. Holly was picked up as a stray and was held at Osceola County Animal Control in St Cloud, Florida, unclaimed and past her PTS date. Happily she is now in P.R.O. . . . Holly is a healthy, polite, sweet girl with a beautiful smile. She is 49 pounds. She is well mannered in the house (no need for the crate). Holly has no difficulty getting along with our young, energetic, one and a half year old female Pointer (also a P.R.O. girl) and our seven year old female Weimeraner. At this time she is happy to rest on her mattress most of the time. She needs some encouragement to exercise. She loves to hunt. Holly requires a backyard with room to run. Holly does best with a harness for walks on the leash. Rides in the car provoke shaking and panting anxiety. Holly seems to enjoy meeting our neighbors (including children) while going for a walk on her leash. She’s a happy tail wager!! Meeting friends (including a three year old neutered male Gordon Setter) visiting our home does not provoke anxiety and she is very friendly. Our guess is that Holly is a hurricane displaced Pointer as it is obvious she has been cared for. Holly enjoys two cups of Adult Science Diet per day. Her meds are Advantage and Heartgard. Her supplements are glucosamine, two large Milk Bones per day, and Greenies. She is current with her shots and is micro chipped. We have not had the opportunity to observe Holly with cats.
