Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Zelda is Ready to Play!!

Zelda is a 4 year old black and white pointer. She currently weighs about 60 lbs but is still a little underweight. Zelda is a sweet girl who was a stray rescued from the local shelter and would love some of the pampering she has missed out in life so far. She LOVES to play and is great with other dogs. She is very appropriate and will go into a play bow or over on her back with a more dominant dog. When she is not playing with her foster doggie siblings, she loves to run in the yard and chew on her bones! She also has a bit of a comical personality - she runs so fast and plays so hard that she is always slipping and clumsily falling on the floor. She also likes to play ball with herself - tossing and batting a tennis ball around when she can't find a playmate. Zelda is housebroken and can be left uncrated without concern or chewing. She also already knows “sit” and “stay” and is very responsive to humans. She would make a nice companion for almost any home. However, because of her size and energy level, she would do best in a family with older children who will want to play with her. She would also love to have a fenced yard but would do okay with an active family that would make sure she got the exercise she needs.

Zelda is spayed and current on all of her vaccinations. She has just finished treatment for heartworms so will need to rest and recover for the next few weeks. Zelda is in foster care and available for adoption through Independent Animal Rescue. Please visit our web site at www.animalrescue.net for more information and an adoption application.
