Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Smooch was found as stray near Route 15 in Jefferson - he had been sighted but no one could catch him for 3-4 days.

We later learned his history through another shelter- someone had tried to surrender a 9 month old unneutered male pointer because they had no time for him. The other shelter was unable to take him, and they must have dumped him by Rt. 15 the same day. He lived with young children and they said he was a very sweet dog. He is sweet, but hasn't had enough socialization and is skittish at first.

He is very timid until he knows you, will bark and run away at first. Would really benefit from a foster home for socialization. Seems to like other dogs. He's just a big scared puppy!
