Klaus Needs a Fortunate Event!
Klaus is a sweet, shy baby that was dumped in the parking lot of the Chilton Co. Humane Society in Clanton, AL along with his sister, Violet. We named them after the brother and sister in "Lemony Snickett's A Series of Unfortunate Events" because that's evidently what they've been through!! They've not been terribly well socialized but they are youngsters (only about 8 mos. old) so they still have plenty of puppy curiousity that makes them want to come and investigate new people even if they're a little timid. Klaus is an active, playful boy that loves to run and play with the other dogs and is good with kids. Klaus's favorite game is "hunt the water monster" - he'll climb into any container of water large enough to hold him and dig and bark at some imaginary water creature. Very entertaining!!! He appears to be well on his way to being totally housebroken and doesn't have a mean bone in his body - just could use some obedience training! Klaus's perfect home would have a fenced yard, maybe one or two other dogs to help bring him out of his shell, and a patient, caring family that will appreciate his gentle nature. He's current on his shots, microchipped, and neutered.
