Help Jake Get Back on his Feet
Jake is a black and white, male, English Pointer that is approximately 6 years old.
On October 1, 2005, he was found running the country gravel streets in a rural town in Indiana by a good Samaritan, he was starving and had what appeared to be a broken leg. Jake was taken to the vet by the good Samaritan and received x-rays which showed he had been shot in the hind leg shattering his femur. He immediately received surgery to have a steel rod and pin put in his leg to repair the injury. He is now recovering nicely and on his way to gaining weight.
Jake is good with children and other dogs. He ignores the cat he is currently residing with. Jake likes to play with balls and chew on bones and kongs (especially filled with peanut butter) He is working on crate training and housebreaking.
Jake is current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and neutered.
