Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Sweet Southern Lady

Chessie is an endearing, affectionate young pointer female. She was dumped at a high-kill shelter, presumably because she was gunshy. (She is also "thunder-shy"!) Chessie LOVES to snuggle on the couch and to pretend to be a lap dog. She is great with kids and other dogs, but is not good with cats. Chessie is crate-trained and housebroken. She enjoys playing ball in the yard and taking leash walks (though she's still a bit strong on the leash.)

Chessie is somewhat fearful of men, indicating she was probably mistreated by one in her past. She has overcome this fear, however, when the man is gentle and soft-spoken with her. Chessie really loves attention and will steal your heart!

She is currently in foster care through Sandhills Animal Rescue League in North Carolina. For more information visit www.sarlpets.petfinder.org or email sarlspets@yahoo.com.
