Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

What a Beauty!

This striking beauty was picked up as a stray in Central GA. It's unfortunately not uncommon for unscrupulous hunters to simply leave a dog in the field if it's not performing the way they want it to or they just don't want to bother with caring for the dog anymore. Luanne was lucky though - she ended up at Heart of GA Humane Society in Macon, GA where she's been totally vetted and cared for for several months now while she patiently waits for a home of her own. If they hadn't found her, she could've starved to death, been shot, hit by a car, been attacked by other dogs, etc. etc. - any number of things that happen to untold scores of abandoned animals on a daily basis.

Luanne is approx. 1 yr. old, HW neg., UTD on vaccinations, and spayed. She is good with kids and other dogs. Like so many hunting dogs that have probably lived most of their lives in a kennel, she's a little timid but would warm up quickly to anyone willing to share a kind word and a head pat!

Please contact Laurie at Heart of Georgia Humane Society at (478) 955-3035 or lauriedchance@yahoo.com for more information on giving Luanne a home for the holidays!
