Jackson is "House" Hunting

Jackson is a real hunter. These days he is hunting for his forever home. He was found as a stray in Northwest Georgia. When his foster mom picked him up, he weighed only 49 pounds and you could count his bones. Today, he is healthy, neutered, negative for heartworm and current on all of his shots (and always has his collar with I.D. on just in case). Jackson is great with other dogs and is living quite peacefully with 3 cats in the house. However, he will chase cats and point at them for hours outside, but would never hurt them. He is also good with children. He seems to prefer men, but will gladly accept affection from anyone. He is talkative so be ready for some good conversations.

Jackson is also perfectly housebroken. He will run back and forth across the house howling to let you know he has to go! Jackson is eager to please and knows to sit, stay, lay down, and roll over. He does need some work on the recall command.

Eating is one of Jackson's favorite things. Maybe this is because he was unable to find food so for so long. He dances and sings for his dinner. This dog WILL get on your furniture. But, he is so handsome and looks like some wonderful English oil painting that it's easy to give up a chair. He will also climb a chain link fence so a wooden one that is at least 6 feet tall or an invisible fence would be best. He needs plenty of exercise and loves to go for a run or preferably a hunt.
