Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Mandy is Ready for Her New Life

Mandy had to have surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (she was given up because of her knee injury - no good for hunting). This tough little girl has done extremely well. She now has full yard privileges for about an hour each morning to do whatever she wants. What an amazing and great dog she is. She is very obedient and gets along with other dogs. Not recommended for homes with cats.

New pictures:flickr soon. She is nuts over butterflies.

Background information on Mandy:
Mandy is eight years old and has a terrific personality. Not shy. She was a working hunting dog at a commercial facility until just recently when she tore her knee ligament. She could no longer keep up, so off to be put down. The vet contacted a rescue volunteer who contacted me

Mandy is very lively and can manage light exercise. Mandy is small - probably weighs about 35 pounds. Excellent leash manners. She gets along great with other dogs and is very well behaved. She has had a hard life, and really deserves a great retirement home. She does point (butterflies, bugs, doves) - very beautiful to see.

She is one of the sweetest pointers ever - just loves attention and petting.

She has had a hard life, and really deserves a great retirement home.

Mandy's diagnostics and surgery cost about $1,500 and I think it was well worth it. This is a very special little dog. If anyone would like to help with Mandy's vet bills you can use the PayPal button on the Dogs Hope home page, or contact me. Thanks, Judith for the dogs.

If you want to adopt, Mandy requires a fenced area for exercise and an indoor home.

Please see the Dogs Hope home page for additional information.
