Active Senior Seeks a Family of Her Own
Hi, I’m Lucy. AKA LuLu, Lou, Luce, Lulabelle, Lucille, and lots of others. I used to live out in the woods of Georgia until someone found me and brought me to a place with a bunch of other dogs. Then a nice lady and her daughter took me in their car all the way from Georgia to Virginia, where my new foster home was waiting. Now I get to live in a house with people and two other dogs and a cat. I like to point at and chase the cat but he doesn’t seem to like that very much and my foster humans always make me stop. I’m so glad to be in my new foster home – I get comfy places to sleep, treats, toys, belly scratches, and lots and lots of food – but I’m still waiting for a forever family of my very own to love.
Lucy is a real sweetheart who only wants a comfortable place to curl up and a person to love. Lucy has a very high prey drive – including birds, squirrels, and, unfortunately, the resident cat – so she would do best in a house without cats. She gets along fine with her foster brother and sister but I think she would prefer to be the only dog in the house so she could have the people and attention all to herself. Lucy is crate trained and will go right in – though she always seems to go faster if there’s a treat involved! She is a very smart girl who figured out the dog door in a matter of days just by watching her foster siblings use it. Lucy is an older dog but still retains much of her pointer energy until it’s time to curl up in your lap for a nap. She is a smaller girl and will climb right into your lap to cuddle with you. She is spayed and UTD on all of her shots. Won’t you open your home to Lucy and give her the love she deserves?
