Buster Wants to Love You
Buster is a big, tail-wagging boy who loves his people. He came from a shelter in Ohio, but the rest of his story is unknown. It is obvious that he was trained before, as he adapted to a crate at night very quickly, and had accidents only three times in the house, the first two days he was here. He is one or two years old, 25 1/2" at the withers, and about 80 lbs. (big enough to reach the back of the kitchen counter!) He is neutered, has had his rabies and distemper, and is heart worm negative.
He is a velcro dog! Always near me or my husband, he loves long belly scratches and head patting. He is very calm with my cats and our two neighbor (female) dogs- calm, but very curious! He loves to be in the middle of any activity, checking out the scene. I've only heard him bark when learning to go to bed in the crate at night, but if you said, "Good night, Buster," he settled in. While he loves being a free-range dog in the fenced backyard, he walks beautifully on a leash, and obviously aims to please his people. He is interested in other dogs he sees on walks, but doesn't bark or bolt. If I chose to run with him on the leash, he would join right in. He is very good at chasing the squirrels from our bird feeders! We are currently testing his car behavior: he rides well in the back seat with his leash attached to the seatbelt.
