Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Joy to the world: "Find me a Forever Home!"

Bring a little Joy in your life!

Joy is a happy petite girl looking for a new home. This 5-year-old liver and white female was brought into a veterinarian's office with two other Pointers Lucy and Bo. The owner wanted to put them down because he no longer wanted them. A staff member took the dogs and contacted PRO for help. She is now in a PRO foster home with Bo.

Joy wants a forever home

Joy has a happy smile and wagging tail. She will first come across as being shy, but she quickly warms up and will jump in your lap when invited. Belly rubs are one of her favorite activities. She enjoys getting her daily "cookies" and dances for joy when it is mealtime comes. Joy enjoys playing with toys and sometimes with collect several of them. Her favorite is a squeaky ball that looks like the world. Joy's world will go with her to her new home! She is crate trained and has done well in the house. Joy happily dances for meals and sometimes talks for them. Watch Joy's dinner dance here: I Dance for Food!

Joy dreams of a forever home

Joy tends to make herself "invisible" by disappearing into the bedroom where she enjoys sleeping on the bed. She does enjoy a good snuggle! She learned quickly how to use the doggy door, and has done well with the family's other Pointers. Joy is a smart girl and has learned to sit on command and is learning to walk on a leash. Joy does not find baths a pleasant experience and is very gunshy. She still needs more work in obedience but she is well on her way to becoming a happy member of a forever home.

Joy is up to date on her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. You can bring Joy into your home by filling out a PRO Adoption Application and someone will contact you soon.
