Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Hank Needs a New Home

Hank was pulled from the Topeka, KS shelter. Everyone (including the shelter staff) thought he was a GSP. Lo and behold, he's an EP! He weighed 27.3 lbs and had pneumonia when he came out of the shelter. He has made a full recovery and still needs to gain some weight.

Hank is good with other dogs, and shows pointing instinct. He is crate trained, housebroken, trustworthy in the house alone, very sweet, in general he is a joy to have around! He knows sit and I am working on some other commands. He is good on a leash.

He loves to snuggle and would sleep in the bed if I would allow it. He likes toys but is not possessive of them. He likes food (obviously because he was starved) and is eager to please. He is pretty mellow indoors and would make a great first pointer for someone.
