Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Cletus Needs Your Help

Cletus was picked up as a stray by animal control and has been at our facility for almost a year. We entered him into the prison dog training program, but unfortunately, the prison went into lockdown and we had to pull all the dogs out.

For no fault of Cletus and reasons we cannot understand, he has had no interest from potential adopters. Probably because he is NOT a Gun Dog and in this part of the country, Pointers are not considered house companions. We are a 501(c)(3) shelter and not high kill, but at some point, we have to consider the best interest of the dog and needed space. Although Cletus has been very content and shows no sign of shelter stress, he needs a family.

Cletus is not a hyper or overly active sporting dog. He is a wanna be lap dog! He is crated in our lobby at least 3 times a week. He is very content in his crate and loves any attention given. He is really such a sweet guy and deserves a better life than a shelter.
