Sierra Needs a New Home
Sierra is a lovely 2 year old black and white female Pointer who has recently arrived in her new Ohio foster home from Texas where she completed her Heartworm treatment. She had an immediate introduction to midwest winters complete with snow and very low temperatures which she did not care for! Sierra is house broken and has adapted very well to going out and doing her business but hustling back to her warm couch. Her foster parents think she is the most well behaved and sweet Pointer girl, as she will crate easily (she likes to eat her meals in her kennel too), we seldom hear a bark out of her, she is trusted completely anywhere in the house and loves to sit with her foster family in the evenings for a little TV time.
Sierra has an exceptionally calm personality for a Pointer and is a wonderful companion. She would do well in a home with a similar atmosphere and another dog who is playful. She is fine with children and ignored the cats in her prior foster home.
Sierra shows great interest in birds, but due to the cold tempatures here in Ohio her foster dad has not been able to take her out with a quail to test her pointing and steady to wing abilities. That will come along with the warmer weather if she does not leave for a forever home before then. Sierra is to be adopted as a family member first and foremost.
Sierra has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and has a microchip.
