Introducing the "Gemstone Pointador Puppies"
On October 16, 2010 PRO took in Ruby and Jewels, two pregnant, heartworm positive pointers that had been dumped at the shelter by their owner. On October 22, both girls went into labor (their foster mom swears they were conniving!) and delivered a total of 21 puppies that have been dubbed the "Gemstone Puppies".
Although these puppies are mixes (we confirmed that the father was a black lab) PRO's committment to these puppies is the same as any other dogs we are responsible for. The puppies will be vetted and microchipped and will be adopted under a spay/neuter contract.
The puppies and moms are currently located in Colorado Springs, CO. PRO can work with adopters to help arrange transportation.
The puppies will be available for adoption after they reach 8 weeks old. We are currently accepting adoption applications. Please click on the links below for more information about individual puppies.
