Dot Needs a New Home
Dot is a 5-6 year old English Pointer who weighs roughly 40# and needs a retirement home from hunting. She would make an excellent addition to anyone's pack and home being that she blends in well with all personality types and is a very emotionally balanced dog. Dot has been around small children and she does very well with them, also.
Incredibly affectionate and eager to please, the only catch to her is that she cannot be trusted off-leash. After being overly handled by electronic collars to the point of ruination, she must be kept in a fenced in area at all times - no exceptions. She has excellent house manners, is quiet, crate trained (she LOVES her crate) and loves to cuddle.
Our primary concern is that we, being myself and the owners of Spanish Oak Hunt Club who have been providing for her shelter and care for the last year, are all comfortable with the home environment she is going into. Second, we are also adamant about Dot being returned directly to Spanish Oak Hunt Club should the new home not work out. We will take her back immediately, no questions asked.
We love Dot dearly and she deserves to be in her own home with her own family, not alternating between house and kennel life amidst a group of 5+ dogs in either environment. While she tolerates all of this extremely well and never complains, that sugar-sweet-girl deserves her own warm reality.
Dot will be spayed in the next few weeks, is UTD on all vaccinations, and has been kept on HW preventative. We are in no urgent rush to get her placed, she is quite comfortable living in my home right now and is at no risk of going anywhere except to the best home for her. We only want the *right* home for Dot with the understanding that SOHC will always be her safety net.
