Shan is Looking for a Home
Sweet Shan was discovered in an Ohio kill shelter by her foster mom. It is quite obvious to her foster family that in her past Shan lived in a good home, but something happened and she was given up to the shelter and forgotten. She is a well behaved but playful lemon and white Pointer who has learned to walk again nicely on her lead, will sit when asked, is very good with school age children and is always ready for a car ride as she jumps right in without hesitation. Shan loves being with her people, she shows no fears of typical household noises, even the vacuum sweeper is tolerated! Shan is a little fussy about being put in her crate at night, but settles down and sleeps quietly at night. She actually prefers to be taken outside on her lead to do her business and would be considered for an individual or family living in a condo situation or home with or without a fenced backyard who would be willing to walk her regardless of weather conditions. But being typical of an active Pointer Shan still would require additional daily exercise at a dog park or to have a jogging partner. She is playing very well with other Pointers in her foster home both male and female but would be fine as an only dog. The only downside to Shan that has been discovered, is that a household with cats is out of the question. Shan will chase and attempt to catch a cat if she has opportunity.
She has been spayed, vaccinations all brought current, HW negative and is currently on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
