Jake Needs a New Chance

Jake is a handsome, male English Pointer, approximately 2 years old. He has no health problems and just needs to gain a little weight back, in fact he is incredibly athletic and well built. Jake has a lot of energy and loves to run laps around the yard. We've also never seen him walk down the steps to the back yard - he leaps about 10 feet into the air instead! I think he could easily be trained as an agility dog, or would be great as a running partner. He loves to chase birds and wrestle with our two other dogs, but calms nicely when he comes inside. Jake absolutely LOVES to snuggle and is the best napping buddy around. He will find any available space to get his head on your lap and take a nap. He is house broken, crate trained, knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash. Jake would do fine with other dogs, has not been tested with cats, and would need supervision around small children, only because when he gets excited he could knock them down (NOT due to any aggression or behavioral problems). Jake is an incredibly sweet dog, and is sure to make a family so happy.
