Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Give Me a Shot

I was rescued under the name of Buckshot as it had to be removed from my head and body by a vet at the shelter I landed in. I am all healed up now, and gaining confidence in people at my foster home. When I first arrived I was really afraid and would lay down flat and act submissive probably because I was not well cared for in my former life. Sometimes I still do it with new humans but I am becoming more self assured everyday. I really love being in a home with a huge fenced yard with all my other Pointer buddies. My crate and house training have been going great! My foster family thinks I am really sweet and although I have not met small children, I would do just fine with older ones. I am medium energy and would like another dog friend of similar size to play with in my new home. There are no cats in my foster home, so I don't know if I would try to chase one, but we Pointers can have a high prey drive. Also, not sure if I want to hunt either since I had a bad experience, but may be with the right training I could try again. My true wish is a home where I can be your companion, go for runs at a dog park or field and cuddle with you on the couch when we are done playing for the day.

Beau is a young adult perhaps two years of age, neutered, current on his vaccinations and flea/heartworm meds. Weight approx. 45 pounds.
