Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Honey Needs Your Help

Honey is a beautiful liver and white pointer who has had too many litters in her life. The vet guesses she is between 3-5. She was rescued from a Texas shelter by a group of pointer lovers who saw beyond the outside and saved her for what she could become. Honey has seen a lot of bad things in her life and has the scars to prove it but now that she is in a foster home, she is blooming. She has gone from hiding in a corner to becoming a velcro pointer. Her coat is nice and shiny. Heartworms are a thing of the past.

Honey is small for a pointer and is very quiet. She would do her very best with someone who was home alot, probably as an only dog and without young children (as they are a bit too loud and energetic for her). Loud noises and lots of movement scare her so she's not cut out to be a hunting dog. Very housetrained. She is interested in cats but has been too afraid to approach one. She shares her foster mommy's bed (part of the velcro thing) and stays at her feet when she sits. She is one of the most loving dogs God has ever created. She chases butterflys and grasshoppers. She would make someone a wonderful companion pet.
