Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Wesley Needs a New Home

Wesley (previously called Chucky), a Lemon & White English Pointer, was picked up in Florida as a stray. He didn't have much time in the shelter, and being skinny and scared he didn't have much of a chance of getting out safely. Luckily, Pointer Rescue was able to pull him to safety.

He is around 2 years old, past the puppy stage, but still young and fun. This guy is up to date on all of his shots, dewormed, Heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm & flea preventative. He will be neutered very soon (prior to adoption). He is crate trained and doesn't mind being crated at all. He is a good eater, gentle at taking treats and shows no food aggression. He is pretty good on a leash and seems eager to please so should pick up on basic obedience well. He doesn't appear to have been in a house before, but is learning quickly. He is somewhat underweight, but that won't take long to fix! He is a wonderful rider in the car as well. Wes is on the smaller side for a male Pointer and will probably be around 50# at his perfect weight.

Wes will make a wonderful companion to some lucky family! As you can see by the HEART on the top of his head, he has lots of love to give!!
