Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Ali Needs a New Home

Ali is a close relation to a long list of Pointers rescued by PRO relinquished by a Tennessee breeder. All of these Pointers have been beautiful dogs and quickly adopted to forever homes.

When Ali arrived in her Ohio foster home she was shy and uncertain about being in a home. After some time and the help of our own Pointers she is very comfortable and loves all the hugs and kisses she gets from her foster mom. Presently she still is very cautious when meeting new people but is such a sweet little girl once she gains trust.

Ali is likely 18 months in age and still has plenty of puppy curiosities and playfulness. She was easily crated trained and is rewarded with a treat each time she is asked to crate for the night. Accidents have been few and far between in the house. Her foster mom knows she needs out when she starts sniffing around at the floor but she has also made good progress going to the door and waiting to be let out. Although very young, Ali's behavior in our home has been outstanding. After playtime with the other Pointers in her foster home she comes in and settles down quickly for a nap on the doggie futon. She is all about squeak toys, playing with tennis balls in the yard and has discovered wading pools are a great way to cool off. There are no children or cats in her foster home, but there is no reason she wouldn't be just fine with respectful school aged kids. Birds are her favorite action figure in the yard but she is startled by gunfire and sudden loud noises and cannot be recommended for field training other than teaching recall by voice or whistle. This is a valuable tool for any dog owner.

If you think this sweetheart of a girl would be the perfect addition to your life please complete an application so her foster mom can answer any questions about Ali. She has been spayed, current on vaccinations, HW and flea preventive.
