Soldier Needs a New Assignment
Soldier (5 years old, located in Kentucky)
Soldier is a good boy, but he has a thing about cats and small animals. He is totally prey driven and although he has learned to get along with my Papillon I don't feel comfortable trusting him with the tiny Chi's I have. I took him in about a year ago from OK, he was a tornado victim so to speak. He is a beautiful boy with great presence. He is house broken, loves his crate, walks well on a leash but I believe he needs a high fence to keep him around. He really wants to hunt and I don't think he was trained to return. He is neutered, had his shots last year about this time and is HW neg. He gets along with all my other pointers but needs a slow introduction to establish the pecking order. When he came here, he wanted to be the boss, now he is happy to be part of the group. He does have nightmares or day mares and wakes up quickly with a harsh bark but quickly realizes he is safe and hangs his head in shame. He loves being cuddled and baby talked to. He is a gentle giant.
