Pointer Rescue -- helping to make a difference

Tally - 11 years old, located in Florida
Dog ID#: 160104-P-B-GA

Tally & Sally are Georgia Peaches. They lived and were bred on a hunting plantation. They were turned in to a vets office to be euthanized because they were "too old to hunt". They were saved at the last minute by a kind person from an all breed rescue, and they reached out to Pointer Rescue to take them in. Tally came to rescue emaciated and in dire need of dental work. She was spayed before she travelled to her foster home, and had her teeth cleaned and a few roots removed in February 2016.

She has settled nicely in her foster home and learned the doggie door in one day. Tally is a little shy with new people, but craves affection. She is exuberantly happy and her tag wags nonstop. She is now crate trained, and walks well on a leash. She likes to inspect things in her environment, so although she isn't big on counter surfing, she can be mischievous and may grab something out of a bag and walk off with it! She loves being around dogs and cats, and is known to be a "greeter" when a new dog enters the home. She is an all around nice girl! Tally is approximately 11 years old, but has loads of life left in her - Tally says 11 is the new 4!
