Sally - 12 years old, fostered in Pennsylvania
Dog ID#: 160112-P-B-GA

Sally is a Georgia Peach! She lived and was bred on a hunting plantation. She was turned in to a vets office to be euthanized because she was "too old to hunt". She was saved at the last minute by a kind person from an all breed rescue, and they reached out to Pointer Rescue to take her in. Sally came to rescue emaciated and heartworm positive. She was spayed before she traveled to her foster home, and she is quite the Queen of the household - she inspects each and every newcomer and prefers dogs that are calm and non-dominant. She is now crate trained, walks well on a leash, isn't the type to counter surf, and likes to do circles of joy when she first wakes up, and when she comes inside from hanging out in the yard with her buddies. Sally LOVES having a canine companion to pal around with in the yard. When she sees another dog, she really lights up.

Sadly, we have learned that Sally has limited time remaining and will be living out her days being spoiled by one of our amazing volunteers.

If you would like to contribute to help Pointer Rescue care for Sally and other "Fospice" dogs like her (Fospice = Foster + Hospice) tax deductible donations are gratefully accepted here: Support Pointer Rescue
