Whip Needs a Retirement Home

Hello world! I spent my first 12 years hunting birds on a plantation in Georgia and recently retired to a foster home in New York. I have adjusted from kennel living to home living very well. I'm still an active boy who likes to play in the yard, go for walks, and play with toys. I love playing with toys, sometimes I gather them all in a pile and sleep with them! I also like to follow you around the house and drop a toy at your feet so you can throw it for me for a game of fetch. I especially like carrying or fetching squeaky tennis balls, they are my absolute favorite! I have fun running around in the big yard here and keep myself entertained, but also enjoy following my foster family around or playing fetch. I also enjoy going for long walks or hikes and enjoy going out and looking for birds in the field. I live with several dogs of all sizes and a cat and we all get along just fine. I would be happy being the only pet or being a part of a pack, as long as you love me. I love all people I meet of every age and enjoy spending time getting my nose and ears petted. In the evening I enjoy snuggling with the humans or canines in my foster home. When it's cuddle time I will give you my paw! I'm fully housebroken, crate trained, and have good manners. I like to carry around my food bowl and do a dance to let you know when it is dinner time! I still enjoy going for a short hunts to find some birds as long as we can come back home and snuggle afterwards.

Whip is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and dewormed. He tested negative for heartworms at intake and at his 6 month checkup and is on monthly Heartworm preventative. He had a dental cleaning as well as bloodwork and the vet says he is healthy from his years of being a "professional" athlete!
