Hi, my name is Homer. I am about 3 years old and 50 lbs. I wasnít sure what was going to happen to me and then the nice people at PRO stepped in to help. I am in a foster home with senior dogs, a cat and a toddler. The other dogs are ok but I am still young and want to run. I went too close to the cat once to check her out because I was curious. She let me know not too close. I see her giving one of the other dogs a bath so maybe we can be friends later. The toddler is loud but definitely more my speed. He thinks I am silly, which is good because I think he is silly.
I was very shy at first but I am coming out of my shell. I really like my dog bed and belly rubs. I am house broken and really enjoying gaining weight. The foster family has been working with me on basic commands. I am a quick learner but did you know you arenít supposed to surf the counter?? Foster Mom doesnít think I have ever played with toys before. I donít like any of the ones they have here. I have learned not to mess with the toddlerís toys. He was very understanding when I forgot. My favorite thing to do besides napping is running in the yard and just being outside. The main thing foster Mom says we need to work on is the crate and leash walking. She thinks people were mean to me before and used the crate as punishment. I tell her I donít want to talk about it. She is very patient with me and says things like ďShe doesnít want to rush me and me to have a setback.Ē
Iím HW negative, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. I hope I find a family soon because I really donít get the foster Momís jokes about a TV show called The Simpsons.
