Molly Needs Your Help
Molly - 3 years old, fostered in Maine
Dog ID#: 180151-P-B-IL
Intake date: 2/11/18
Available for adoption: May 2018
Molly is a beautiful lemon and white female English Pointer. She joined our rescue in mid-February, pregnant, malnourished and she was very close to her delivery date. After a short time with her foster family, it was discovered that Molly was deaf. Molly delivered nine beautiful Pointer puppies and despite her physical condition, she was an amazing mother and was very dedicated to feeding and caring for her puppies. Her pups were all adopted to wonderful families and now its Molly’s turn to find a loving forever home.
After a careful feeding regimen and high quality food, Molly began to put on weight. She is now at normal weight and is feeling fantastic. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is on heartworm preventative.
Molly loves to go for long walks in the woods and very much enjoys the outdoors. She loves to chase butterflies and is very birdy. She is learning to live in a home and does very well in her crate.
Because of her hearing loss, her adopters should have prior experience with training and living with a deaf dog or be willing to seek the many resources available to assist with training and using hand signals etc. We also feel that she would do best in a home with no small children and smaller pets. She is doing well with the other dogs in her foster home but would do just fine as the only dog as well, as she loves her humans.
Molly is going to be a loyal and loving companion. She has lived her entire life outdoors and is a bit anxious in the house. She is overcoming this and with time, patience and training, she will be fine. This stunning girl deserves her own forever home with someone to love and care for her as she did for her puppies.
