I am a goofy two-year-old boy from Kentucky, but now with the help from Pointer Rescue, I am living with my foster family in Indiana. I have 5 other dog brothers and sisters ranging from 15 to 120 pounds. We get along great together! I also have two cat sisters. I do not mind them. I just point at them for a few minutes then I leave them alone.
I am the biggest love bug that you will ever meet and I am very wiggly. All I want to do is be in your lap, but at almost 50 pounds, sometimes that's a little difficult for people to handle. I like to jump on everyone out of love and excitement, so a family with small children would not be the best option since I will knock them over. I also tend to smack my happy tail on everything when I get excited.
I am a young boy, I need lots of exercise to keep me happy and calm. I am looking for an active forever home with a good-sized fenced yard for me to play in. I absolutely LOVE pointing out other critters, especially birds. My foster mom says that I have a lot of potential and drive, but she does not think I have ever actually hunted before nor had formal hunting training.
Since I lived outside in a kennel my whole life until now, I am working on my housetraining and manners. I am a quick learner and I am very eager to please. I just need a little patience and training. I am very good in the crate, I mostly just lay on my back and play with my squeaky toys. My foster mom has been teaching me how to walk nicely on a leash and heel and she says that I am doing really great!
I cannot wait to have a new forever family. My foster mom is looking forward to telling you more about me to see if we would be a good match!
Sully has a clean bill of health. He has been neutered and microchipped. He is UTD on vaccinations, flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative.
