Jack Needs a New Home

Jack - 10 years old, fostered in Pennsylvania
Dog ID#: 181383-P-D-OK
Intake date: 8/5/18
Available for adoption: 9/18/18

Looking for a well behaved, gentle, trained companion dog that is good with young children? Meet Jack. He enjoys walks, snuggling, car rides, playing with toys, and enjoys being close with his owner.

Jack is a 10 year old retired plantation hunting dog, approximately 55 pounds, heartworm negative on monthly preventative, and up to date on shots. He was neutered in August 2018 and microchipped.

Originally from Oklahoma, currently living with a foster family in northwestern Pennsylvania, Jack has adjusted to the snow belt well. He can be tied out briefly to go potty and is not a barker. Jack knows the word no and promptly complies.

He enjoys going on walks and sticks close to you in the yard. Jack is housebroken, crate trained, and very quiet. He is very quick to catch onto routines, follows them without any instructions, and goes right into his kennel knowing that heís going to get a yummy treat.

Jack should be in a cat free home. If you have another dog, the dog would just have to be chilled and very relaxed - not an Alpha type. A fenced yard would be best to keep Jack safe and give him the freedom to explore, but isnít absolutely necessary.

If you are loving, can supply joint supplements, good food, and an orthopedic bed, Jack will be forever yours.
